One thing that will never change will be the quirkiness that Facebook delivers to its users everyday! Here are a few tips that I’ve found to make your posts look professional each and every time!

Perfect Posts in Facebook
Have you ever experienced line spacing that is all out of whack? Try typing your post in Notepad first then copy/paste into your post. Voila!
Uploading Pictures for Facebook posts
Adding a photo to each and every Facebook post for a business page is a ‘must,’ but where can you find a quick pic to complement your post? One source is Microsoft’s FREE clipart site!
Adding links and photos in Facebook
Double dipping – adding a link and a preferred photo to a post
Sometimes you want to add a link (and the link you are attaching is NOT pulling in the photo that you’d hoped for), try this trick and in this order:
- First, draft your post
- Second, upload the picture
- Third, add the pertinent url to the post and then hit the ‘share’ button.
Why in this order? If you type/copy/paste the link immediately after you write the verbiage for your post, Facebook starts to perform its wizardry and immediately starts pulling the link and you can’t add the photo. In the example below, there were multiple photos that were on the landing page and none of the photos were attaching, so I uploaded the photo before adding the link at the end of the verbiage.
Facebook Lists
And my ultimate favorite….drum roll…the ‘everyone’ list! Have you ever created an event and you wanted to invite literally every one of your Facebook friends, only to find that you had to individually select friends ad nauseum? Or you wanted to invite more than one list at the same time? This exercise is well worth the effort.
Create an ‘everyone’ list for your Facebook friends. When you create an event, you can now invite everyone all at once because they are on your ‘everyone’ list of friends. That one exercise of developing that list and utilizing its power was almost as euphoric as when I got my first Oreck vacuum! Life is about keeping it simple, light and easy.
